Copied from Craiglist:
12/18/11, Northern Michigan, 1976 Mercedes Benz 309 Diesel Mountain Bus 20′ with Allison automatic transmission fully rebuilt (not over 5000 mi on it).Actual 125,000 miles, runs excellent , air brakes, wheel cylinders completely rebuilt, tires like new but not driven on for awhile -duals on rear, new old stock front doors (inside bus, not installed yet). There is only a drivers seat-otherwise seats removed. MANY spare NOS parts.
Body solid mostly surface rust except 3-4 spots, one may say issues with body, this is NOT UNI_Body it has a solid Heavy Duty Truck Frame. Body very reparable but mostly issues like VW Bus would have like above mirrors at top of door post . It would take considerable money to pay to have all body work done as new. Now do you want to completely restore it or use it as a work vehicle like I did for 20+ years No rust due to salt rot never driven in winter.Moving lost storage. I’ve driven it coast to coast and it will. Needs windshield some cracks but drivable.Front windshield was available in Wisc. last time I checked. New wiper motor(wiring issue as with lites etc). Needs going over to be totally road worthy Many parts are available from Oregon and through a couple other people I’ve run into. These originally came from Washington DC Airport shuttle service. I had four and kept the best one for me.
